I have had the extreme pleasure of reviewing some Tree Hut Shea Sugar Body Scrub.  I was sent a big ol’ 18 oz jar of this heavenly body scrub to try and review.

I’ve done reviews for lots of bath & body products, and if you are a regular reader, you know how much I love stuff for your skin that smells good.  I mean, who wants to walk around all day smelling bad, right?  And I love body scrubs, because they are really good for your skin.  So I was very anxious to try this body scrub.  As soon as it arrived, I opened the lid and took a big whiff.  It was like a party in my nose.  :)  WOW.   I really, really wish I had smell-a-vision, so you could all smell this body scrub. Shea Sugar Body Scrub in Tropical Mango.  I had no idea that could smell so good.

You can actually see the sugar and the little orange beads in it, which contain all the good stuff for your skin.

So when it was shower time, I took my jar of Shea Sugar Body Scrub in with me.   I know some people use this as a bodywash, but I prefer to use it as a scrub after I wash, and after I shave.   So when I was done washing and shaving, I scooped a little out with my hand and scrubbed all over.  Pure bliss.   My shower filled up with the most incredible smell.   I had to check the ingredients to see if this was edible, it smelled so good.  I really did want to eat it.   Or, at least give it a little taste.

Which reminded me of a time when I was a wee little girl.  My mom used to wash my hair with strawberry scented shampoo.  I remember asking if I could taste it, and of course, my mom said “NO! You could die if you ate that!“. Well, my mom also told me:

“Don’t bite your fingernails, they will grow from the roof of your mouth”

“Don’t eat watermelon seeds, they will grow watermelons in your stomach”

“Cover your mouth when you see a dragonfly, they can sew your mouth shut!”

“The doctor said all little girls HAVE to drink at least one glass of milk a day”
(yuck…kill me now)

Oh, the things she would tell me, to make me do – or not do – something.  So when she said the strawberry shampoo would kill me, I had my doubts.  I had yet to see any fingernails growing from the roof of my mouth, and I was checking daily.   So when I was finally old enough to wash my own hair for the first time, I tried that shampoo.  Yes, I tasted it.  Not a lot, but just enough to taste.  It was nassssssty!   I spit it out and gagged and gagged.  Mom was right about that one!  I never tasted another bath product again, lol.

So when I smell this body scrub, and read the words “sugar and mango”, it really does look and smell edible.  But the flashbacks of gagging on strawberry shampoo as a little girl is the only thing that has kept me from tasting this amazing scrub.

And not only does it smell absolutely incredible, it left my skin feeling so good!  I loved how the sugar exfoliated my skin and left my skin feeling so soft and moisturized!  This is the best body scrub I’ve ever tried.  And the scent did not fade quickly on me, like most bodywashes and scrubs do.  I could still smell the tropical mango on my skin hours after I showered.   I got so many compliments about how good I smelled.  Everyone thought I had switched to a new perfume.
