I’m always looking for new ways to make some extra money. As you probably are already aware, I run a business out of my home (since ’97), I also do craft shows and sell on Etsy as well. And as you know, I blog! And this isn’t my only blog. Yeah, I have a lot going on. But, that’s that way I like it. I hate being bored. I always have to have a new project to work on.
I found out about Pink Zebra last year at a craft show I did. There was a vendor selling Pink Zebra products. And I fell in love. Their products are so unique, and they are great sellers. Their table at the show was always full of people. And you could smell their things as soon as you walked in the room. Their scents small amazing. Their most popular product is their “Sprinkles”. They are little tiny sprinkles of soft soy that you can either melt in a warmer, or pour into a jar with a wick and burn it that way. Love, love, love the Sprinkles.
I had actually forgotten about Pink Zebra, because earlier this year I took on a full time job in retail management. Well, after being robbed at knifepoint and realizing what a horrible company I was working for, I quit 6 months later. So here I am, working from home again, still running my home business, but starting to feel slightly bored. I needed something to spark that fire under me again.
My BF was excited to do craft shows with me again, so I had that to look forward to, and quickly booked almost every Saturday for October through the end of the year. A couple weeks ago I was at a craft show and saw another Pink Zebra vendor. After the show, we came home and that got me thinking. First, I started doing research on all types of Direct Sales companies. I couldn’t believe how many DS companies had such bad ratings, complaints against them, and just negative reviews.
And then I looked into Pink Zebra. The more I read about them, the more interested I became, and had to keep finding out more. I read blog posts and reviews on them, and it seemed like everywhere I turned, people were raving about PZ. I posted some general questions on some sites, and was overwhelmed with how much everyone loved being a PZ consultant.
Then I looked into the pricing. You can start your own PZ business for as little as $99. You get the website free for 30 days, and after that, it’s just $9.95 a month. Customers can place orders right through your site, and the product can ship directly to them. You don’ t HAVE to even keep any product on hand if you plan on just doing the online thing. But since I do shows (and let’s face it, I’m a sucker for candles), so I did want some on hand.
I signed up on a Sunday night, and received my kit on Wednesday, and that’s even including the Veteran’s Day holiday in there. Here’s what I received in my kit (I got the Deluxe kit, I wanted that suitcase and purse BAD!)
It comes with everything you need to start selling!
If you are wondering how you can sell your Pink Zebra products, here’s a list of ways I came up with:
- Craft Shows & Craft Sales I am booked for almost every Saturday through the end of the year. Most people are already familiar with the brand. So in lots of cases, they just want to replenish the wax they have already consumed.
- Website Pink Zebra gives you a website with all of their products already on it. This makes it super easy for customers to just place their orders through your site. You do get the first 30 days free, and after that, it’s a nominal fee of $9.95 per month to run the website. You don’t need to know any programming, the website is built for you. You just sign into your ZebraNet (back office) and watch your sales come in!
- Home Parties Home parties are very popular, and a great way to introduce a room full of people to your products. This is also a great way to get huge orders at once, which could also result in free products, large commissions, and lots of repeat customers.
- Social Media Take advantage of your social media skills and sell sell sell! You have lots of friends on your social media sites (and if you don’t, get working on that! You don’t HAVE to personally know all your “friends”).
