This review is a little late because although I received this product to review over 2 months ago, I was unable to review it because my phone broke. I had the Samsung Galaxy S5 and while it had been a glitchy phone, it was still a good phone. Until the charger port completely broke off. That’s where the downward spiral began with that phone. At one point my screen had a little black dot on it, which kept growing across my screen, and by the end of the day, my entire screen was completely black, rendering my phone completely useless.
I had decided to upgrade to the new Note 7, but that didn’t come out for a couple of months, so I was completely phone-less for almost 2 months. Those were the longest months of my life! You don’t realize how much you use your phone for until you don’t have one at all. My phone was attached to me 24/7 and then all of a sudden I was completely lost without it.
But I do finally have the new Note 7 and other than the national recall on it because they are known to explode into fireballs, all is well. I will be exchanging it at Verizon for a new one next week, however, per their recall instructions.
So this review is actually on this new VicTec Mini Wireless Bluetooth Earpiece. I’m one of those people who can’t live without my phone, but hate talking on it 😀 I should say, the part I hate is having to hold any phone up to my ear to talk. I am a master at multi-tasking, and having to hold the phone up to my ear while trying to work keeps me from being as efficient as I’d like to be. Plus, it’s just annoying.
I have used regular earphones with microphones that you plug into the audio jack, and that works too – but the wires get all tangled and half the times I end up pulling the headphones right off my head while I’m talking to someone.
So these VicTec Mini Wireless Bluetooth earpieces are AWESOME. First, I will say that they were SUPER easy to pair with my new Note 7. It took I think all of 3 seconds to pair them. I did have them fully charged (I had 2 months to do that, remember? lol) So they were fully charged and I was able to use them right away when I got my new phone.
The design is great, too. They have an ergonomic, curved-design, so they fit perfectly in your ear. They also come with an earhook so you don’t have to worry about losing the earpiece while it’s in your ear. It also comes with eartips in S, M and L.
To use, you can give it a voice command – “Yes” to accept a call or “No” to reject a call. Or, you can just press the button. When I first started using them, I asked everyone if they could hear me ok. And everyone said yes, and that I sounded very clear. And everyone I spoke to was also very clear to me – so the quality of my calls has been excellent. And I’ve had no dropped calls from it either. A single charge will give you at least 5 hours of talk time.
And, of course, you can also use this to listen to music, and the clarity is excellent.
